Job purpose
A role for an experienced financial marketing manager, with a sound understanding of the broader marketing mix, investment products, local regulations and financial promotion rules.
Responsibility for regional marketing for UK& Nordic in conjunction with local sales team and based in London. This will include the assisting with the development and implementation of the country specific marketing plan, with contribution to the channel's distribution strategy of BNY Mellon's products and services. The person in this role should be effectively measuring all marketing activities and optimising and up weighting activities which are working and down weighting activities which aren't. The plan will include promotion of products and strategies across our investment boutiques.
This role requires establishing a close working relationship with the sales team, our boutiques, client support and centralised marketing teams such as Planning and Projects, Marketing Operations, Editorial and fund information teams.
Be an active member of the EMEA Marketing team, working on centralised campaigns, champion the sharing of ideas and build an understanding of the overall marketing plan and its activities for the business as a whole.
The role will report into UK Field Marketing Head alongside an additional headcount -Marketing manager also based in London.

Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy & Planning
- Work with field marketing and regional distribution team to challenge existing marketing strategies for the country with the aim to improve sales success.
- Ensure good communications and support on an on-going basis and regularly share activity plans from across the sales and marketing teams to leverage the various elements of the marketing mix
- Work with the various Sales teams to ensure marketing programme and deliverables for assigned markets are in line with business goals.
- Work alongside our investment boutiques to ensure plans are communicated with them.
- Where possible utilise synergies and cross-over opportunities within the business to help maximise sales opportunities.
- Develop productive working relationships with the relevant Sales teams/country heads, ensuring that they are kept up-to-date with work in progress.
- Responsible for the successful implementation of the local marketing programmes to support the local business.
- Identify opportunities through working with appropriate local market agencies and services in developing and implementing effective plans to achieve business objectives.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the country and local sales requirements, through working alongside sales teams, participating in relevant internal meetings, attending client meetings or industry events if appropriate and reading relevant press / market research.
- Design marketing programmes with the aim of giving insight and leads to the local sales team using our automation platform.
- Liaise with the rest of the marketing team and other departments if necessary, to co-ordinate and/or leverage from various activities.
- Execute pan-European programmes in your regions, tailoring to local client segment needs.
- Drive marketing themed communications / campaigns through sales teams / specific countries including:
- Identifying marketing theme for communication opportunities and agree on a communication strategy & programme
- Co-ordinate the themed communication effort with the relevant marketing team members and other departments if necessary, providing clear support requirements and deadlines.
- Measure and report on feedback from these themed communications
- Develop and maintain relevant, timely and compliant local language marketing communications - on and offline.
- Ensure consistency and standards of support and materials provided to Sales/Sales Support
- Ensure adherence to specific compliance regulations by country in working with both the IM EMEA.
- Provide clear requirements, specifications and deadlines for production of marketing presentations/literature and event support.
