You will be joining a team of eight that cover the whole remit of Global Settlements. This includes the complete trade lifecycle from order inception through to final settlement of stock and cash across a variety of asset classes and markets i.e., CREST / DTC / Euroclear.
Primarily your job role will be covering the contracting aspect of Global Settlements, but ultimately you will be exposed to all elements of Global Settlements as cross training is an ongoing priority within the team.
The main purpose of this role is to aid, from a contracting perspective, the settlement of UK Equities, International Equities and Unit Trusts including Transaction Reporting (MIFID II), problem solving and Error Correction analysis.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Monitoring CREST checking/failed reports, identifying, investigating, and resolving all settlement issues and liaising with relevant market makers as necessary
- Administering/checking redemptions and subscriptions to Unit Trust, including Cofunds net settlement process
- Transaction Reporting
- General trade amendments and mailbox monitoring
- Error analysis, resolution, and implementation and liaising with the relevant departments
- Co-ordinating and processing placings and hedge fund orders
- Analysis and management of reconciliation breaks to resolution
- Following CASS rules to support compliance and audit processes and escalating issues as required
- Formulating detailed written responses with a good understanding of percentage calculations

- Operations contracting knowledge is essential.
- Ideally you will have knowledge of FIGARO our operating system, however experience with this software is preferable not mandatory.
- This is a high-volume desk with tight daily deadlines therefore the ability to work accurately under time pressure is crucial, additionally time management and organisational skills are also key.
- In addition, a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is needed.
