The Team:
The Bloomberg Pricing & Risk Services team is responsible for building a leading enterprise system across all asset classes. The system provides a comprehensive suite of data, structuring, pricing and risk analytics to Bloomberg clients across Sell and Buy sides whether they are using the Terminal, Enterprise Data or Enterprise Product solutions.Â

These Solutions Include:
  • Â Pricing and risk analytics across all asset classes and workflows
  • Â Trade capture and integration with all systems (such as TOMS and AIM)
  • Â Scenario analysis and stress testing, structuring and idea generation
  • Â Derivatives data including curves, CDS and volatility surfaces/cubes
  • Â Back testing, cash flow projections, life cycle management
  • Â Regulatory (such as MIFID and PRIIPs) analytics
  • Â Derivative APIs and Portfolio Services
  • Â Intra-day and end of day risk and P&L explanation

What's the role?
The team is looking for a FX and Commodities Product Manager. You will be responsible for OVML which is used for option structuring and pricing of listed and OTC options, and DLIB which is used to scale our OTC business and close the coverage gaps. You will join the ongoing effort in the pricing and risk department to evolve our risk analytics to address the future needs of our clients. You will set the vision and work in close collaboration with our engineering groups.
OVML allows you to structure and price listed and OTC commodity options, using an extensive set of option styles and multi-leg strategies. With OVML, you can solve for notional, strike, barrier, premium, gamma, and vega. OVML works closely with the Multi Asset Risk System (MARS) function, which provides risk management and scenario analysis for portfolios. You will be responsible for all aspects of FX and Commodity derivatives and growing our features.Â
DLIB , originally built to scale the BVAL OTC business, has evolved to structure a wide variety of derivative contracts across multiple asset classes using pre-built deal templates for rate, FX, equity and hybrids. These templates provide deal representation, structuring and solutions for PRIIPS regulation and analytics. You will work to expand coverage and functionality.
You will be part of a dynamic and diverse group of engineers, product managers, financial engineers and product specialists that drives innovation focusing on delivering the best system for pricing and risk management. Partners to your efforts include Enterprise Product, Enterprise Data and Terminal users. You would represent Bloomberg in market events and industry bodies and assume global responsibilities for the asset class.
You will lead teams outside of your immediate span of control and without formal reporting lines (e.g. sales, product, engineering, implementation) to buy into the product strategy and business plan delivery. You will ensure prioritization, requirements gathering and execution of highly complicated and inter-dependent projects.

We'll Trust You To:
  • Â Apply your expertise in FX, commodity derivatives and structured products to determine the product road map and manage the strategy and execution
  • Â Be customer-centric and think in terms of commercial opportunities and develop capabilities to ensure the product stays relevant and fit for purpose
  • Â Understand the market and the industry at a macro and micro level and use this to craft the direction of the product
  • Â Document clear functional specifications for each phase of product development and take part in our Agile collaboration framework
  • Â Work collaboratively with other Product Specialists and Managers to ensure a smooth integration of our structuring components across the Terminal, Enterprise Products and Enterprise Data
  • Â Understand technologies underpinning the deal representation including scripting languages and industry standards
  • Â Work closely with engineering to further develop existing structuring technologies and expand their coverage and functionality

You'll Need To Have:
  • Â Solid understanding of financial instruments including derivatives and structured products
  • Â Strong understanding of trading, booking, position management and post trade practices
  • Â Proven knowledge of transaction and life cycle workflows
  • Â Solid understanding of deal representation technologies
  •  A minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 6 years in derivatives related roles
  • Â Ability to define and articulate functional architecture of a system to engineering, product specialists and clients
  • Â High motivation, high curiosity, skills as a consensus builder
  • Â Strong leadership skills and derive enjoyment in the start-up environment
  • Â Good communication and interpersonal skills

We'd Love To See:
  • Â Trading experience in derivatives
  • Â Experience facing clients in important engagements
  • Â Leading projects or managing of others
  • Â Good knowledge of financial regulation
  • Â Familiarity with Agile software development
