The Role: Credit Assessment Delivery Analyst

The Team: As a market leader in the provision of illiquid portfolio pricing valuation and related services, our Credit Assessment professionals provide customers with a credit score for unrated debt instruments derived from qualitative and quantitative techniques.

The Impact: The Credit Assessment Delivery Analyst will deliver a range of credit assessment services specifically to the alternative investment community, including banks, private equity and hedge funds, institutional investors and fund administrators.

Responsibilities:
The Analyst's duties include:
  • Performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of corporate debt issuers, including assessment of financial statements, economic data, industry trends, and other issuer-specific data
  • Preparing detailed high-quality research reports on individual corporate issuers across industries and geographies
  • Contributing to the design and enhancement of the financial models used to perform credit assessments
  • Working with management to build and maintain client relationships
  • Attending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry
What We're Looking For:
Education and experience
  • Strong credit background - understanding of fundamental credit analysis, including ability to research industries, competitive positions, and financial statements
  • Must be a capable writer - writing sample will be requested
  • Minimum of undergraduate degree is required. CFA (or in process of obtain qualification) will be considered a significant plus
  • Should have a thorough knowledge of leading financial and business issues and a strong interest in current events
  • Advanced financial modelling skill in Excel
  • Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, and PowerPoint
Commercial awareness
  • In-depth knowledge of several industry sectors, e.g. Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate Development, Energy, Metals & Mining, or Software & IT Services
  • Experience of building and maintaining client relationships
