What you'll be doing

As our Infrastructure Analyst you'll be providing hands-on and remote support for infrastructure services, as well as responding to user queries and escalating to 3rd line support when required. You'll be reducing risks, improving SLAs and continuously support improvements to tech infrastructure.
  • Complete cloud-based admin tasks and troubleshooting for AWS, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure.
  • Perform technical implementation and deliver project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the business users and Group IT teams and facilitate communication and education between the two disciplines.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on IT systems such as applying patches and configuration changes.
  • Undertake Active Directory, O365 and business administration tasks.
  • Respond to standard service requests and take ownership of their delivery.
  • Assist with technical tasks on larger projects that require the provision of or changes to IT Infrastructure.
  • Look for ways to improve systems to increase performance and reduce support incidents.
  • Participate in firm-wide monitoring of critical systems.
  • Provide innovative solutions to automate recurring tasks.
  • Provide support for various third-party business and trading applications.
  • Understand, prioritise and escalate user requirements as required.
  • Assists colleagues in the wider team in dealing with peaks in workload in the IT service/support area when required.
  • Participate in shift and on-call rota where required.

You'll have
  • Practical knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS) as well as AWS infrastructure
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft/Windows server and desktop ecosystem.
  • Previous technical support experience.
  • Ability to liaise with business and technical personnel.
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts to people outside your team.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
  • A creative and innovative approach to work.
