Performance Analyst (Associate) - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is a global real estate investment company with £billions of assets under management. They are looking for an Associate within their Investment Strategy and Research Team.

THE ROLE:
  • Updating Excel 'performance database' with accounting data for the funds to produce performance calculations (fund and property level, various currencies).
  • Liaising with Fund Accounting team to investigate or question unusual data.
  • Reviewing and sense checking automated performance calculations.
  • Providing and signing off fund data for market benchmarking and consultants including:
    • Fund and Property level to MSCI.
    • Fund and Property level to INREV.
    • Fund / Client level for specific funds / investors.
  • Other consultant requests, as and when required
  • Working with MSCI and INREV platforms / teams to obtain relevant index or benchmark data and assist when colleagues need access to market data.
  • Provide bespoke analysis to London Fund Managers for board papers / quarterly reports etc.
  • Supporting Client Services e.g. updating questionnaires with performance data.
  • Ad-hoc requests - benchmark comparison, market data, returns and IRRs etc.


THE PERSON: You must have at least 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar analytical / performance role within commercial real estate. If you are a newly qualified accountant or want to move away from doing fund accounting into an Analyst role this could be the right role. Strong Excel skills are a must with the ability to run formulas, functions, create charts and so forth. You will also be a super PowerPoint user with the ability to create presentations and present them. Keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy is needed as are strong communication skills.
