Long/Short Equities Analyst - Leading Fund

Main Position Functions:

• Generate new, fundamentally researched ideas
• Conduct value added research and data mining
• Monitor short term catalysts and newsflow
• Recommend investments with scenario analysis
• Build and maintain financial models
• Establish relationships with management, sell-side and industry contacts
• Mentor and help train junior analysts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2-4 years of hedge fund experience investing in Europe.
• Strong process with ability to turn over names quickly yet also display sound judgment
• Very important that has clear desire to learn even at this stage of career
• Ability to learn new stocks/sectors quickly, and manage time between long term projects and short term requirements
• Experience with data: Yipit, MScience, Nielsen, and/or raw credit card data
• Teachable - self-aware and open to improvement
• Personable - not arrogant, comfortable under pressure
• Rational
• Intelligent
• Driven

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, CFA preferable

Experience: 2-4 years of hedge fund experience investing in Europe. Investment banking background preferable.
