My client is the global boutique asset manager of a prominent financial services firm boasting impressive fund performance year on year. A new Senior role has been created for a technical Corporate Actions Specialist to act as the Deputy to an impressive and highly accomplished Corporate Actions Manager.
This role is not a processing role and requires SME Corporate Actions knowledge to take a lead role overseeing Voluntary Corporate Action processing performed by a team of 7 Analysts across all markets for the EMEA & APAC regions. As the SME for the team you provide support to the team Manager attending senior management meetings in her absence.
As a senior member of the team, you will represent the London team working as part of a global team with members based in London, Hong Kong, Chicago and India, including Portfolio Managers and Front Office Support teams offering enormous exposure.
To be considered, it is ESSENTIAL Senior Corporate Action's SME's will come from an ASSET MANAGEMENT environment and will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of complex voluntary corporate actions (Equity & Fixed Income) across all markets and will be fully conversant with the associated risks related to corporate actions to provide solutions to Front Office as and when required. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions performed by the team as well as monitoring risk and exposure on a daily basis.
Candidates will have experience working with various custodians to assume full oversight of the end to end COAC's process performed by the team to include the collection, verification and processing of Corporate Actions related entitlements, overseeing the data scrubbing, approving instructions from FO, the reconciliation of cash & stock to name just a few tasks. Prior experience of Aladdin & Eagle would be advantageous but not essential.
As the senior member of the team, you will also act as the first point of contact for the team for technical queries and provide the team coaching in the research and resolution of complex issues requiring strong technical knowledge in respect of the principles and market practices of Corporate Actions.
