The Company
Our client is a highly successful and expanding Investment Management firm, widely recognised with an excellent reputation based in London.
The Role
The Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining security data, pricing and classification information on the core trading and settlement system.
This is a great opportunity for somebody with Data Analysis experience in an Investment Management environment, who would be keen to develop into a team leadership role eventually within this area.
The Data Analyst will provide day-to-day data support for the Front Office, liaising with data vendors and other internal teams to ensure a high level of data accuracy.
The Data Analyst will also assist the project team with testing releases/upgrades from the trading system Figaro including review and updating procedures for the maintenance of security data within Figaro and implementing data quality checking processes to mitigate risk.
The Data Analyst will maintain the Stock File for both listed and unlisted stocks and products and assure the accuracy of Stock File information.
The Data Analyst will update daily and monthly manual prices on the trading and settlements system to ensure that the industrial and geographical classifications of stocks are correctly reported on client's portfolios
The Data Analyst will monitor price movements and corporate actions and will ensure the overnight pricing files from the data vendor and Reference data have been received and populated correctly on Figaro.
The Data Analyst will also ensure that approved funds are correctly reported and be responsible for the generation and recalculation of loading new stocks, investigating data discrepancies.
The Data Analyst will bbuild strong working relationships with the Front Office, Data team and other teams within the Custody Services department
The Candidate
2-3 years' experience of working within Security Data and Pricing Data within an Investment Management / Asset Management or Stockbroking firm.
Knowledge of trading and settlements systems.
Good working knowledge of Bloomberg and ICE - desirable
Experience of Data warehousing - desirable
Highly organised and a Team Player.
