The role
The Adviser Development Manager plays a vital role in the development of our Financial Advisers. The coaching skills they bring are essential to our business, supporting the advisers develop their skills to deliver great client outcomes.
Our Cambridge & East Anglia Region is looking for an exceptional individual with a Financial Planning background who thrives on driving performance improvement through coaching others.
We're looking for expert coaches who instil a sense of confidence in the advisers they'll be working with. Coaches who are excited by the difference they can make and who thrive on seeing others achieve greatness within their role.
The Adviser Development Manager coaches and mentors our Adviser population throughout their career at SPW, embedding training into their day to day job, monitoring progress and delivering structured feedback, ultimately improving the performance of both the individual and the business.

What you'll be doing
- Coaching a team of advisers to support them achieving 'their best'
- Monitoring the performance of advisers and identifying areas of improvement
- Observing adviser's performance, providing clear action plans to support their ongoing performance improvement
- Driving best practice, in both group and 1-on-1 settings - discussing tips and strategies with advisers and identifying and embedding best practice
- Equipping your team to self-sustain change and improvement, leaving them more resilient and more emotionally attuned
- Identifying individual and team training needs by observing client encounters, studying sales performance and reports and collaborating with the training team to implement relevant upskill programmes.
- Developing a relationship with the adviser team that makes it easy to communicate your ideas to support the issues they are facing.
- Demonstrating personal resilience and able to operate under your own steam, whilst valuing the support and challenge of belonging to a coaching community
- Preparing and presenting reports to the Regional Directors.
- Staying up-to-date with the new market trends and regulations.
Your Qualifications & Experience
- Level 4 diploma qualified is essential
- While a coaching qualification is desirable, more important is an insatiable drive to improve business performance through others
- Be passionate about personal development and supporting others to achieve their own and business goals
- A proactive and innovative desire to implement changes that will deliver improved client and business outcomes
- Experience of encouraging and guiding learners to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours within their day to day job role, considering individual starting points.
- A strong and engaging communicator with a style that inspires, encourages and challenges people to move out of their comfort zones
- Experience of coaching people at all levels on their performance, behaviour and career development
- Experience of giving financial advice and use of best practice advice journeys
- Have a voracious desire to learn. Someone who is constantly up on the industry news, regulations , research and subject matter experts.
