What will you be doing?

The Operational Efficiency project has been initiated to review opportunities to introduce year on year cost savings within Client Operations. The project is currently working on several deliverables ranging from vendor re-pricing RFP's, Robotics Process Automation, platform redesign and decommissioning, client KPI reporting enhancements and client service improvements.

The business analyst is required to support the project manager to deliver process and technology changes to the business. The primary role will involve analysis, requirements gathering, development of epics and user stories, solution design, functional testing, UAT execution and co-ordination, and business readiness including training. The analyst will mobilise cross-functional teams in order to articulate and clearly define the objectives, user stories and the critical success factors of any changes. Based on this understanding, the business analyst will be responsible for designing and clearly documenting the solution, covering where applicable, any required process changes, application functionality, usability, and logical data structures. The business analyst will need to work closely with in-house and teams across the FS Transformation programme.

As a Business Analyst, some of your responsibilities will be to:
  • Define scope and requirements in the form of epics and user stories where technology or vendor build is required
  • Prepare test approach, scripts and acceptance criteria in support of initiatives in delivery where applicable
  • Adhere to Evelyn Partners quality standards completing the relevant documents and templates including the updating of Jira
  • Document clear, traceable and testable requirements and functional design specifications
  • Ensure all impacted stakeholders sign off on requirements and testing
  • Deliver user training in relation to solutions delivered
  • Work with developers (internal and third-party) to ensure that the requirements are well understood and delivered in accordance with the relevant specification/s
  • Own and manage the integrity of the functional solution being delivered
  • Support business representatives through the different phases of the project life cycle.
  • Assist the testing team in the definition of functional test conditions and expected results.
  • Organise & facilitate UAT planning and execution.
  • Business support during the post implementation warranty period including the analysis of possible regression in live.
  • Document business process flows to support operating model reviews so that recommendations can be made around process improvements.
  • Perform route cause analysis of operational issues identified by colleagues and interpret issues into solutions that could be technology changes, process changes or training.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Preferably knowledge of wealth management or securities services.
  • Previously used Jira / Confluence to manage backlogs and document user stories
  • Effective communication and presentation skills that can be used with both technical and business audiences
  • Decision making & facilitation skills that can be used to assist senior members of staff with making quick and effective decisions
  • Strong focus on 'can do' and be able to discuss issues in a positive and constructive manner
  • Beneficial, but not a must-have, knowledge of transfer agency systems, Avaloq, XPLAN, or fund accounting system ICON

As a colleague here at Evelyn Partners, you will have access to benefits that include:
  • Competitive salary
  • Private medical insurance
  • Life assurance
  • Pension contribution
  • Hybrid working model (role dependent)
