Our Data & Documentation Governance (DDG) team, a member of the larger Client Experience organization, is responsible for the maintenance and governance of our client contracts and other legal documents globally across BlackRock. Using Aladdin proprietary and Artificial Intelligence tools, our team ensures all client contractual and due diligence documents are accurately stored and maintained to enable:
  • Implementation and Client Business teams to deliver an elite client service experience for new and existing clients
  • Portfolio Managers to fulfill their investment management responsibilities
  • Legal and Compliance teams to align with regulatory reporting obligations

As a Client Data & Document Governance Analyst, you will understand the importance of quality data and strive to maintain its integrity in our systems. You will have an opportunity to apply your knowledge of contractual and legal documents, and demonstrate your ability to analyze information, ask questions and draw conclusions. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring client requirements contained in contract or other legal documents are accurately reflected and maintained in the standing data system
  • Work with other team members to ensure consistency in Client Document storage
  • Monitor the health of client contractual and due diligence documents and resolve exceptions
  • Maintain and monitor project documentation by utilizing project tracker tools
To ensure success you will have the following qualifications:
  • A "Student of the Markets" mentality: Intellectually curious with a real passion for learning about the global financial markets and the investment management industry
  • Familiarity reading legal documents and ability to understand basic legal document structure and terms
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities in a high performance, high demand environment
  • Organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
  • Strong control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to advance issues
  • Capacity for critical and independent thought, especially around improvement in execution
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Extensive experience with business applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute beyond the scope of one's role to achieve team and firm objectives
  • BS/BA degree is preferred
