Job Purpose
Oversee the commercial performance of the UK Division and key Business Lines with a focus on delivery against Plan, applying competitor benchmarks to enhance business performance and drive profitable growth.

Lead the preparation of the annual Business Plan for the CL UK division and quarterly forecasts/reforecasts, liaising with the respective Finance Senior Leadership Team and Senior Management to provide an overall UK Division Plan consistent with CLUK's strategic and operating goals.

Lead the provision of timely, relevant and reliable Management and Board Information (CLL) derived from a single "version of the truth" in order to support sound business decisions. Lead ad hoc projects / reviews to identify options to improve commercial performance working with the wider Finance and Strategy Team.

Own the quarterly and annual earnings Group results reporting process, ensuring analysis of actuals and forecasts are timely and robust. Lead presentation of results to senior management.

Key Accountabilities

3) Lead the provision of timely, relevant and reliable Management and Board Information (CLL) derived from a single "version of the truth" in order to support sound business decisions.
Management information to include:
- Customer numbers
- Sales
- Revenue
- Expenses
- Earnings
- Investments performance
- Customer metrics
- ROE
- Solvency and Liquidity analysis
- Other as required

4) Lead ad hoc projects / reviews to identify options to improve commercial performance working with the wider Finance and Strategy Team.

5) Own the quarterly and annual earnings Group results reporting process, ensuring analysis of actuals and forecasts are timely and robust. Lead presentation of results to senior management.

6) Completion of business returns for OSFI, Office of National Statistics, PRA and ABI

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
- - Qualified Actuary/Accountant with extensive and wide-ranging Life Insurance Industry experience
- - Significant experience in a Finance oversight role
-- Demonstrates strategic understanding of the life insurance industry and relevant industry benchmarks
- Excellent quantitative business analytical skills
- - Excellent risk, balance sheet and financial planning skills
- - Ability to apply actuarial/finance techniques to business problems
- - Proven management and staff development experience
-- Excellent communication skills - able to address technical and non-technical audiences in formal and informal settings

Qualifications:
FIA or FCA/ACA qualified or equivalent
