Our client, a leading infrastructure-focused private equity fund, is currently looking to hire a Fund Operations Associate to join their high-performing London team. The fund, which prides itself on its sustainable investing strategy, has had an impressive couple of years and is currently growing as an organisation- making it an exciting time to join.

What the job involves
You will be working very closely with the finance & operations manager, financial controller, and general counsel. Your role will be very broad, covering a wide range of generalist operational tasks. On a daily basis, you will get involved with a variety of legal, compliance, finance and general operational tasks. You will gain great exposure across the business and become a key part of the team.
This is a brand-new hire for the fund and a great opportunity for an individual with an operational background to join an impressive, forward-thinking organisation and really make an impact!
  • Day-to-day management on relationships with external fund administrators, depositary services, banks and lenders
  • Respond to AML/KYC requests from portfolio companies and the deals team working on the transactions
  • Managing the operational process of closing, funding and booking of new investments
  • Assisting with transaction records, keeping processes and project costs reconciliation
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for general partner companies
  • Support the finance team with basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Dealing with matters in relation to company compliance
  • Assist with preparation of tax reporting for the fund investors
  • First line of contact with IT suppliers

Who we are looking for
  • Previous fund operations, accounting or legal/compliance experience preferred
  • Understanding of the investment funds space or a regulated environment is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to work independently, to show initiative and to prioritise
