Client Due Diligence Response Lead

The Role: The CDDR Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the timely coalition and delivery of consistent, accurate and standardized responses across the organization, primarily focusing on Market Intelligence. Additionally, the Client Due Diligence Lead serves as a subject matter expert on best practices related to the Due Diligence process. The ideal candidate is a thought leader, able to see the big picture without overlooking the details, fosters a positive and responsive team environment, and can quickly adjust to shifting schedules and requirements.

The Team: The Client Due Diligence Response (CDDR) team is a part of the Corporate Risk Management organization within S&P Global. We support all divisions on Client Due Diligence related inquiries in addition to providing a 2nd line oversight from governance perspective. We foster deep internal partnerships with several control functions to enable, support and respond to Client Due Diligence inquiries, questions on controls when contained within Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and client audits involving our various controls. We strive to provide all responses in a prompt, secure and consistent manner.

Responsibilities :
  • Manage the successful development of compliant responses through effective collaboration across the company that include internal staff, corporate partners, consultants, and supporting vendors.
  • Proven organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with internal partners at all levels of the business, internally and externally.
  • Ability to lead multiple high-priority deadlines and projects, while also exhibiting flexibility and resilience in the face of changing business needs.
  • Coordinate cross-divisional Audits/Assessments. Project manage all requests, providing clear timelines and expectations with the clients, Subject Matter Expert(s) and key stakeholders. Improve future coordination processes with clients, to streamline efforts and maximize efficiencies.
  • Lead junior members, provide insight, coaching, and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain and enhance an accurate repository for team and stakeholder use.
  • Maintain a Subject Matter Expert level on our company, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in strategic planning that includes identifying key issues and developing strategies.
  • Work with management to improve and socialize processes and updates for efficient operation of the team.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 or more years of experience in the management of large complex due diligence requests.
  • Ability to use standard English writing styles to write proposal sections; this includes information research and synthesis from multiple sources (subject matter experts, previous responses) into a cohesive and easy-to-read final product.
  • High proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and managing sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workload under pressure.
  • Exemplary project management skills.
  • Strong work ethic with commitments to quality and accuracy.
  • Proactive, self-starter with ownership mentality.
  • Sound judgment/decision making, enthusiasm and flexibility.
