This role is most likely to appeal to a number 2 or possibly number 1 looking for a meaty and hands on CFO role that will be as operational as it will be commercial and strategic.

High level overview:

  • Oversight for all fund operations, investor reporting, treasury/liquidity management and middle and front office deal support; the full gamut. Credit products include a mixture of performing and non-performing debt across consumer and corporate markets and liquid as well as illiquid investments.
  • Immediate project to provide leadership and guidance to a Finance/ops team of 7 as well as work to improve and tweak the outsourced fund admin relationship.
  • Work with the investment team on the valuations process across all portfolios, in conjunction with external advisers.
  • Involvement in the design and launch of new credit products.
  • High-level oversight for all budgeting/forecasting, financial analysis and MI reporting for each credit structure.
  • Manage all treasury aspects per fund including all investor calls and distributions, revolving credit facilities and the respective security packages.
  • Key leadership role and Board appointment, working as a trusted advisor to the Partners, with a seat at the decision making table and responsibility for the bulk of the non investment side of the business (as a peer to the COO).

Your background:

  • Qualified accountant (essential) with at least 10 years+ PQE and a background in private credit or direct lending (essential). Experience in funds finance is also strongly preferred (as opposed to an investment professional wanting to take their career in a different direction).
  • More than likely operating as the number 2 in another fund or platform and eager to step up into your first CFO role.
  • Significant operational knowledge in a busy funds environment; comfortable working in a high growth and unstructured set up that needs improving.
  • Lots of personality, drive, charisma and enthusiasm. The culture of the business is high performing but also sociable, fun and flexible so it's important the person who joins has a blended personality, high emotional intelligence, with proven C suite level business partnering skills.
  • Exceptional people management and leadership skills: able to bring a team together, get buy in and set the direction of travel.
  • Comfortable being in the detail as well as high level.
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple workstreams and counterparties to deliver all projects and reporting to deadlines.

Total cash comp is in the region of £200-250,000 (base & bonus) plus LTIP.
