A leading investment bank is looking to recruit a Data Analyst into their Front office Trading team.
In this role you will:
- work closely with traders and sales-traders to evaluate the performance of trading strategies under different market conditions.
- carry out transaction cost analysis, market structure research, statistical analysis of market-wide trading data as well as business intelligence reporting.
- overseeing data flow and reporting used to analyse trading activity.
The successful candidate will have a background as follows:
• A degree in a quantitative field: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics.
• A data science/analytical skill-set with experience exploring large data sets and applying statistical techniques to investigate and interpret patterns.
• A highly analytical and enquiring mind and be comfortable manipulating and interpreting large quantities of data.
• Experience with databases and reporting in SQL or similar as well as use of statistical tools such as R or Python.
• Strong communication skills including developing and presenting analytical data.
• A high attention to detail, experience with logical thinking / problem solving.
• A flexible attitude and ability to work in a small but growing team.
• A self-starting entrepreneurial spirit, personal and professional integrity and a desire to strive to obtain excellence.
