Big 4 - Manager level role - £70,000 to £77,000 - Technical Accounting Consulting - Banking

Your new company
This Big 4 professional services firm are looking for someone to join their technical accounting advisory team to provide accounting advisory services, and to deliver financial reporting and regulatory change projects to a variety of clients, primarily in banking, but also across broader financial services firms.

Your new role
As a manager, you will be taking an active role in developing new business, and will be responsible for leading a team, managing and mentoring junior team members. For your clients you will:

• analyse client transactions or structures and perform detailed technical accounting analysis, including writing formal accounting opinions.
• provide advice on technical accounting issues and broader impacts of new accounting standards and regulatory changes
• present findings and recommendations based on analytical exercises
• assist with their implementation programmes for new accounting changes or developments

What you'll need to succeed
You will bring:

• a professional qualification i.e. ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards related to financial instruments and/or relevant to Financial Services clients
• Strong experience in the practical application of the above financial instrument accounting requirements within the Banking and Financial Services industry.
• Excellent written and communication skills particularly in writing technical accounting analysis or opinions, delivering presentations and an ability to communicate well with clients both in writing and verbally.
