Within the CIO Operations team you will be developing E2E solutions to streamline through technology and automation some of the most critical operational processes within Santander, leveraging our digital channels to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The difference you'll make.

  • Managing tasks end to end from development to release to production.

  • Delivering services aligned to the Bank's business and technical architecture strategies in coloration with technical and business teams.

  • Providing maintenance of services - evolving the software versions and infrastructure, identifying, preventing, and resolving incidents, managing obsolescence and automated monitoring solutions for your portfolio of services.

  • Reporting to a Software engineering manager and interacting with a product owner and business stakeholders.

  • Ensuring software engineers build agreed solution, test, and implement to highest standards besides team sticks to Bank methodology driven scrum practises.

  • Analysing and defining clear and concise requirements through working closely with IT and Business


What you'll bring.

  • Ability to work across multiple activities adjusting to shifting priorities

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills with the ability to handle key stakeholders

  • Experience of tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Knowledge of agile development practices such as Behaviour Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and code quality metrics

  • Knowledge of building and maintaining API and Micro Services and applications in cloud environments.

  • Previous experience as a Technical Analyst working in Document Storage domains


It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience building/maintain applications in cloud environments.

  • Exposure as a Scrum Master in a software development team

  • Knowledge of working with a framework such as Spring Framework

  • Knowledge of Jenkins, Cucumber, Open Shift, Kubernetes, Dev Ops, Security, is beneficial.

This role will be based out of our Milton Keynes office with hybrid working, involves production support of product through on call rota.
