About the role

This is a data leadership role where you'll be the owner of our data products roadmap while leading a group of product managers. You'll orchestrate the delivery of multiple product lines that enable our internal teams to access analytics and generate insights. Working cross-functionally you'll find opportunities for analytics to drive decisions and deliver solutions to enable these. You'll devise blueprints for self-serve analytics and data delivery for a very diverse group of domains, personas and use cases. As the product management lead you'll champion the use of data to drive decisions across all of Checkout.com !

Data Product Management is part of our Data and Analytics organisation which consists of data platform engineering, analytics engineering and Product Analytics. As a leader in your field, you'll join other data leaders to help build and scale our data and analytics practice.

What you'll be doing
    • Own the data product vision and roadmap
    • Lead and manage a team of Product Managers and support their development
    • Partner with the Senior Engineering Manager to ensure timely delivery with outstanding quality Partner with teams across Checkout.com to seek opportunities on how Analytics can support different value streams Translate opportunities into executable roadmaps

    • Collaborate with data leadership to ensure we're building and implementing data governance frameworks to ensure secure and reliable access to data and analytics
    • Continuously improve the data product management capability and implement robust processes to capture the requirements, prioritise and deliver data products
    • Regularly review and quantify the return on investment we make in our delivery, translate the work delivered to business value and communicate across the organisation
    • Increase usage of the data products by setting the training and adoption strategy for different user personas and identifying new features or user needs to help increase product usage
Your experience
    • Prior hands-on experience as a data analyst, commercial analyst or analytics/BI engineer
    • Prior experience in managing a team
    • Demonstrable experience in applying product management methods to deliver analytics products
    • Delivery experience that requires coordination of cross-functional technical, commercial and operational teams
    • Excellent data interrogation skills with SQL and familiarity with BI tools (i.e. Looker, MicroStrategy, Tableau..)
    • Proven track record to become a subject matter expert in complex products
    • Passionate about data and how it can solve business problems
Nice to have
    • Payments Industry experience
    • Familiarity with data warehousing, data engineering and software architecture concepts
    • Appreciation of building user-centric solutions and experiences, especially within the analytics domain
