This role is part of the Markets Department of Citigroup supporting the Price Risk Transformation Program Lead in project managing various workstreams across First Line and Second Line functions to improve Price Risk management infrastructure, processes and controls. This is an exciting opportunity to manage transformation across functions and geographies, expand knowledge of the Risk Management framework while gaining exposure to Senior Management at Citi.

The successful candidate will report into the Program Lead managing Stress Testing, VaR and Reporting/data aggregation books of work and will primarily focus on Stress Testing, working closely with the project team in delivering the book of work. He/she will have a solid understanding of the strategic use of stress testing in the banking industry and within the risk management framework and have a track record of execution in subject matters such as internal scenarios, CCAR, EBA / ICAAP, scenario design and expansion, full revaluation and risk based methodologies and implementations and risk factor taxonomy design.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with project team and workstream stakeholders, business sponsors and functional project management leads in managing project plans contents and timelines.
  • Lead or participate in working groups and workshops to understand and help formulate business requirements, testing requirements and other aspects of business process re-engineering as required
  • Prepare, provide and /or present relevant material for updates to various governance forums and regulators as required.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives and success criteria
  • Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge to business stakeholders and technologists during design, UAT and implementation phases.
  • Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level
  • Partner closely with Market Risk Management, Risk Analytics teams, Front Office Quants and IT in various areas such as target operating model and process flow designs, risk factor taxonomy alignment between Stress testing and historical simulation VaR, business testing, scenario enhancements, data control framework and data quality issue remediation as relevant.
  • Be effective in tailoring their communication to a diverse group of stakeholders of various seniority levels, such as risk managers, technologists, risk analytics and front office quants and to Senior governance forums
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined-up and collaborative approach to support the execution of programs within the wider Price Risk Transformation initiative.
Qualifications & skills:
  • Project management and change management expertise, including proficiency with project management tools
  • Market Risk expertise gained in various fields such as Stress Testing, VaR, Risk Capital, Data Modeling, Reporting, Data Aggregation, BCBS239 and regulatory projects either in Banking or in an associated consulting role
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives
  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
  • Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
  • Presentation skills using tools such as Powerpoint
Education and experience
  • Master's degree or above
  • Strong relevant industry experience in a market risk management and/or relevant project management / consulting role
  • Project Management certifications e.g. PMP or equivalent a strong plus.
