Fund Operations & Execution Trading Associate

My client is seeking a reliable, conscientious and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working autonomously and takes pride in completing work to an exacting standard. We are seeking an all-round individual who is prepared to work hard to understand the business.

Overview of the Role:

This role presents an opportunity to work within the combined operations team that is responsible for fund operations, trading, compliance, investment support, and client service. The small team means that the role is broad and diverse and will offer the successful candidate the chance to understand the business from end-to-end. The work is detailed and routine with the option for varied project work.

Education & Attributes:

• Degree level education
• Numerate (as evidenced by GCSE, A Levels, Degree or professional qualification)
• Microsoft Excel skills essential, VBA proficiency highly desirable
• Python/SQL knowledge highly desirable

Key Oversight

Fund Operations

• Preparing daily fund valuations, reconciliations and performance reporting
• Trade processing & matching (DTCC CTM) and settlement
• Foreign exchange calculation & execution
• Daily and monthly NAV reconciliations
• Reconcile and approve client level monthly accounting data
• Pre and post-trade compliance monitoring
• Corporate actions
• Preparation of various marketing and client service documents and charts

Dealing

• Creation and booking of orders
• Executing orders in the market
• Monitoring of best execution and TCA
• Broker relations

Project Work (when time and capacity allow)

• Continual process automation
• SQL Database/Report enhancements
• Power BI report rollout
