S&P Global Market Intelligence - Sales Specialist, Enterprise Data Management

The Team:

The S&P Global thinkFolio cross-asset investment management platform, can be implemented as a single, integrated solution that supports the entire front office. Due to the flexible, modular design of thinkFolio, firms also have the option of deploying the platform for specific use cases and assets classes, including fixed income, cash management and FX or loans.

The thinkFolio platform provides customers with the option to leverage, detailed investment analysis to monitor all factors that influence investment returns by focusing on individual cash flows and modeling the impact of different scenarios. It enables firms to streamline investment workflows and allow portfolio managers, traders and compliance teams to work together, ensuring key decision makers are aligned.

Responsibilities:

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth in the region for S&P Global's thinkFolio & Enterprise Data Management solution in financial services with the potential to support other growth verticals in the future.
  • Generation of new business pipeline in assigned territory
  • Prospecting and networking activities to drive new opportunities
  • Work closely with pre-sales and development teams
  • Ability to give product presentations with high level product demos
  • Work with the US Account management team as a sales specialist
  • Maintain opportunities, pipeline, and management reports from Salesforce
  • Take responsibility for S&P Global's solutions product knowledge, support, and implementation processes on an ongoing basis
  • Act as a point person for solutions sales providing understanding of technical information, product characteristics, and attending client meetings with assigned account managers
  • Understand competitive systems strengths & weaknesses, including ability to articulate key advantages to prospects and internal staff
  • Active participation in sales conferences, marketing events, sales collateral production, client entertainment and other marketing functions
What We're Looking For:
  • 8+ years complex software sales experience
  • Broad based experience with another buy side technology vendor with exposure to managing complex relationships and/or process's
  • Strong domain knowledge of investment management pre-trade to post-trade processes, cross-asset functions (e.g. Cash, Fixed Income, Equities, Futures, FX, Swaps etc), OMS & Trading technology, portfolio modelling, IBOR's, including managed service solutions and deployment models. A strong understanding of data management and data ecosystems would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge and experience in buy side or capital markets
  • Specific experience in covering this client base will be a big advantage
  • Experience in long cycle solution sales with complex contract negotiation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal and influencing skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Willingness to Travel regionally
