Meraki Talent have been engaged to assist with the onboarding of an Audit Manager for their Chartered Accountancy client in central Glasgow.

The Company
Our client is a leading Chartered Accountancy firm based in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant financial district. They have a vast and varied client portfolio and are seeing tremendous growth within their Audit department and as such, there is an imminent opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to join the firm. They currently provide Accountancy services in the fields of Audit, Business Advisory, Bookkeeping, Corporate Finance, Payroll, Tax and VAT. They now seek to add to their growing Audit team with an experienced Audit Manager.

The Role
The role of Audit Manager has become available as the business goes through a sustained period of growth across several of its service channels, making this an exciting time to join a leading practice.

As an Audit Manager you will lead a team consisting of Audit Juniors, Audit Assistants and Assistant Audit Managers. You will report directly to the Senior Audit Manager and the Audit Partner within the firm. You will be fully responsible for your team and a dedicated client portfolio, managing both client and management expectations whilst working to tight deadlines. This role is suitable for a qualified CA or equivalent qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Liaise with RI and Senior Management with Audit planning and reporting
  • Be the main point of contact for clients on Audit matters
  • Plan, manage and affect the flow-through and completion of Audit work
  • Develop, grow and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Be a point of contact within the Audit team, ensuring Audit work is handled efficiently and within agreed time limits
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge of Audit and Financial Reporting related matters
  • Assist in technical and Audit planning advice with clients
  • Manage and train your team of Audit staff ensuring they achieve their goals whilst also ensuring they develop on current skills and competencies
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the firm's Audit policy and procedures
  • Be the main point of contact for clients on Audit matters
Experience
For the role of Audit Manager, the below criteria are Essential.
  • Qualified CA or equivalent
  • Practical experience in the preparation of Audit files, Audit working papers and financial statements
  • Experience in leading Audit teams
  • The successful candidate will have impeccable organisational skills with a pro-active approach to their work
