Job Description
Charles River focuses intently on delivering market leading and feature rich technology wrapped in an exceptional client service experience. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be an essential part of the Client Management organization by leading our engagement with the ultimate end users of our platform, and you will be responsible for remaining current on the latest in CR IMS technology as well as best practices for deployment across our clients. You will leverage your experience with the Charles River IMS to work primarily with Traders, Managers and Operations professionals, ensuring they get the most value from the platform. You will work closely with Client Managers to uncover ways to improve our clients' experience with the Charles River IMS, ultimately leading to delivery of tactical enhancements or identifying opportunities to engage Professional Services for more strategic engagements. As part of the Client Management organization you will serve as eyes and ears on the ground, identifying needs and helping to ensure that CRD continues to deliver on the evolving demands of our sophisticated client base.
As a Technical Account Manager you will be expected to work in close coordination with your team as well as independently on client site. This is an important role within our Client Management organization and a great opportunity for the right person to express both technical product knowledge and an ability to develop relationships with end users.

Key Responsibilities
Charles River Technical Account Managers are expected to work closely with Client Managers to deliver product expertise to our clients, including:
  • Demonstrating intellectual curiosity regarding CRD products, with the motivation to remain current on new product features and client applications
  • Conducting functional demonstrations or high-level training for clients
  • Identifying and delivering recommendations for client workflow improvements
  • Collaborating with the Product teams to prioritize client enhancement requests after performing business analysis and evaluation
  • Determining requirements for client product meetings and formulating the delivery approach with relevant account teams
  • Assisting Client Management and Sales to identify new revenue opportunities including additional modules, services and/or formalized training


Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Technology or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years' experience within the Financial Services /Software industry, in a project delivery or account management role, or similar
  • 3+ year of hands-on experience with CRIMS in an implementation, support or technical capacity is a plus
  • Prior Relationship / Client Management background is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate issues, options and resolutions verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytics and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster relationships with product users
  • Ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous priorities and client objectives independently
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to travel to customer sites 25%-40% per calendar year
