As a Barclays Model Monitoring Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, investigating and presenting the performance of counterparty credit risk models on an ongoing basis using different processes and systems. the role will be interactive, involving engagement across various teams and locations, including liaising with Risk Models Group, Credit Risk Technology, Risk Information Services and Counterparty Risk Management. You will be involved in identifying and resolving data quality and process issues impacting model output and associated monitoring.

Hybrid Working
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Contributing to production and analysis of regulatory model monitoring work streams, such as BT, CMMG and WWR
• Identifying improvements to existing controls and processes, documenting issues and proposing resolutions
• Contributing to automation of existing processes using SQL, Python and strategic tools developed by IT
• Supporting the delivery of new controls and reporting requirements under various initiatives, whether regulatory, audit or risk models driven

What we're looking for:
• Analytical skills, and experience in manipulating data for both investigation and report production
• Proficient in written and verbal skills, a governance and challenge mentality and good attention to detail
• Good co-ordination skills, with a proven ability to work on multiple conflicting deliverables within tight timeframes
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Providing input and analysis to the monthly CMMG and the quarterly BT pack, including continual improvements to the process
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Degree in a numerate subject or equivalent work experience
• A working knowledge of or desire to learn Python & SQL is preferable
• Awareness of CCR regulation

Where will you be working?
Tay House is nestled in a fantastic central city location. Our modern Glasgow Contact Centre is directly next to the M8 and a short walk from Central Station and Charing Cross train station. Tay House offers a communal coffee pod, but if you fancy nipping out we are right next to two of the main shopping streets in the city centre.
