This incredibly commercial and hands-on role would suit someone looking to work in a smaller fund and broad role, covering elements of fund accounting oversight, valuations, financial modelling and deal support.

Working closely with the CFO/COO, this is a superb time to join the business and get in early as they begin to build out their Finance, Ops and Middle Office team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the oversight of the external Fund administrators and management of quarterly and annual reports; annual audited financial statements; capital call notices and distribution notices to investors; cash and liquidity management and monitoring of the Funds' revolving credit facilities
  • Ensuring accurate and timely management and financial reporting across the portfolio both internally and externally to LPs and GPs
  • Accurate calculations of GP share / management fees
  • Co-ordination of the quarterly portfolio valuation process
  • Monitor and manage a portfolio of FX forward contracts
  • Detailed asset and portfolio cash flow analysis (IRR and multiple preparation/ tracking)
  • Monitoring levels of unfunded commitment and future cash forecasts
  • Preparation of fund waterfall models
  • Work closely with the Asset Management and Investment teams on financial aspects of Investments
  • Assist in the tax structuring of target investments
  • Awareness of changes to accounting standards and ILPA and IPEV guidelines
  • Liaising with tax, legal advisers, independent valuation experts and auditors as required
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance of the Fund model and assist in the preparation of Fund level business plans and cash flow projections
  • Support fundraising and investor negotiations
  • Ad hoc project work

Your background:
  • Prior fund accounting experience is essential, either in-house or at a fund administration business across closed-ended fund structures
  • Fully qualified accountant - CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent - and likely around the 2 to 3 years PQE+ mark
  • Strong technical and analytical skillset
  • Hands-on and positive attitude; happy to get stuck into the detail
  • Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality, confident talking to front office, investors and service providers.

Salary on offer is £75-85,000 base plus benefits and exceptional bonus potential.
