The goal of the Strategic Partners team is to leverage and bring to bear the full capabilities of State Street in order to maximize the value derived from strategic partnerships that exist within the SPDR ETF business. These strategically important business to business relationships are multi-faceted, can be global in nature, and cut across many aspects of our business and organization.

Success for us comes from working alongside the firm in a deep partnership, creating a foundation of trust and guided by a rule of transparency. We work with the partner to develop and articulate clear partnership plans that derive greater value for both parties, and we lead the implementation of that plan by working alongside both the partner firm and across a range of internal stakeholders [e.g. executive leadership, sales, marketing, product, capital markets].

  • This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. The home office location is based in our Boston office.
  • Our business has over $1T in ETF assets globally, and is one of the fastest growing areas within the firm.


Overview of Role
  • This role is part of the Strategic Partners Team, a team dedicated to managing the most strategically important business to business within the Global SPDR ETF Business, the third largest ETF provider in the world.
  • Lead the implementation of strategic business initiatives for the Strategic Partners team including key stakeholder communications, facilitating partner engagements, project management support, and streamlining business processes
  • Enhance global strategic partner plans for partners that provide an overview of the partner organization, relationship map and key goals
  • Execute the governance model for partners including supporting executive level engagements, regular governance meetings and interaction points
  • Develop strong working partnerships across all components of the SPDR and State Street ecosystem in order to support a successful virtual team dedicated to driving the partner plan and facilitating interactions with partners
  • Deepen a relationship with your counterpart at the strategic partner firm [where applicable]
  • Act as a central point of contact and a point of escalation
As a Relationship Manager, you will:
  • Ability to build, foster and maintain productive, professional relationships
  • Willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of the partner firm that directly and indirectly touches the SPDR ETF Business
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and oral
  • Keen analytical and research abilities
  • Knows what "good looks like" and will aim to deliver the same
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with SalesForce

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Aptitude to build, foster and leverage productive, professional relationships across multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Confidence to engage senior stakeholders with credibility
  • Capable of navigating multifaceted relationships and situations effectively
  • Ability to take complex ideas and present them in an intuitive, simplified fashion
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and oral
  • Keen analytical and research abilities
  • Knows what "good looks like" and will aim to deliver the same
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Expertise in Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
