What we do:
Global Asset Safety function provides governance and oversight over client asset regulations from a variety of jurisdictions, along with related BNYM Group policies. Previously solely focusing on the UK FCA's Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS), the Global Asset Safety function was recently expanded to incorporate considerations over client asset regulations from other geographical locations. The Global Asset Safety function has footprints across the globe, made up of team members from diverse backgrounds (operations / data and technology / audit etc.).
The successful candidate will:
Reporting to the Manager of the Governance and Advisory team, the successful candidate will be working alongside with the business and Compliance / Risk colleagues on predominantly UK CASS-related governance matters.
Essential Functions - Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Collate and review updates on any regulatory changes and market developments in relation to client asset safety from various lines of businesses
  • Prepare agendas, reports, presentation materials and minutes to client asset safety-related governance committees and forums
  • Responsible for the maintenance of client asset safety-related accountability matrix, which outlines the roles and responsibilities of CASS accountable / responsible individuals from lines of businesses
  • Assist with the maintenance of enterprise-wide asset safety-related policies and procedures
  • No direct reports: provides guidance to junior team members
  • Contribute to the achievement of team-wide objectives
What we are looking for:
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks whilst managing priorities, expectations and deadlines
  • Strong team player, with the ability to work independently at times, and to work across diverse regional and functional teams
  • Skilled in advance proofreading / editing and word processing.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office package
  • Knowledge of the UK FCA Client Asset Sourcebook (CASS) regulations and an understanding of the similar asset safety regulatory environment is an advantage
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred
