The Role:

The role is for Senior Technical Data Analyst working within the Investment Data Platform function, responsible for sourcing, transformation and distribution of 30+ sources of data supporting critical processes across the investment business.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Work with business stakeholders and project teams to establish data requirements for the sourcing and enrichment of data in the Platform as part of data technology solutions
• Establish the appropriate data sourcing and provisioning capabilities to support the Investment process, our Clients and the regulator
• Provide insights and leadership in the application of best data practices of the management of data in the platform and of the use of data across the organisation
• Design and help to implement Data Products within the Platform ensuring that Products align to a data model
• Work within an Agile delivery team to deliver business outcomes

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Comprehensive understanding of investment datasets (funds, positions, transactions, instrument etc), knowledge of the investment process and application of data in investment teams
• Experience of carrying out data analysis as part of strategic data projects and delivery programmes
• Ability to analyse large data sets to draw conclusions
• Understanding of how data needs to be joined and transformed to achieve a business outcome
• Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
• SQL is essential, knowledge of Azure is beneficial
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally, within a project team
