Change Management is a function of the regional COO Office and is responsible for the identification, sequencing and execution of the regional portfolio of strategic and regulatory change initiatives in line with agreed goals

Job Purpose:
The role holder will lead efforts to understand and implement changes to the Wealth Management franchise across the EMEA region in order to support the business growth plans as well as changes to adapt to new local and cross border regulations.
The work includes leading the definition of solutions, driving decision-making, working in conjunction with Front Office, Product, Control Functions and Operations & Technology teams to determine impacts and key deliverables, and leading execution of key deliverables across impacted areas. Key to success in the role is a deep understanding of Wealth Management, strong and structured execution skills coupled with experience of designing and implementing pragmatic solutions in a complex business landscape. The role will require interfacing with senior stakeholders and internal clients across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the detailed analysis working with Front Office, Product, Control functions and Infrastructure teams in order to understand the changes necessary due to (a.) Local and Cross-Border regulatory changes; (b.) changes to Citi's internal policies and procedures; (c.) Business growth initiatives
  • Execute multiple projects or programs (potentially a combination of tactical and strategic programs) by defining the necessary implementation plans and establishing the appropriate governance and managing them on an ongoing basis
  • Lead and manage Steering Committees identifying, managing and escalating issues, risks and dependencies as appropriate, while working with the various teams in order to define necessary solutions and mitigation plans
  • Develop and lead the robust change plans to include internal & external communication plan and training plans
  • Oversee and design the approaches necessary to drive multiple programs of work to a successful conclusion
  • Ensure changes are transitioned to the relevant teams in a sustainable manner ensuring the necessary enhancements are made to the control framework
  • Act as an internal consultant, working closely with relevant partners, in order to quickly understand issues and help lead the identification, definition and implementation of the solution
  • Recruit and manage teams of Project Managers / Business Analysts mentoring staff as necessary in order to ensure they are performing to their best
  • Expertise in Wealth Management domains with deep front to back knowledge through the various functions (e.g. Front Office, Middle Office, Operations - Clearing & Settlement )
  • In-depth experience of defining and leading significant change programs across the lifecycle, including analysis, systems implementation, process change and controls and communications and training. This is not a technology role
  • Demonstrated ability to digest and understand implications of complex regulations on business models
  • Experience of both working within and leading multiple complex projects and programs while having accountability for managing deliverables and / or teams
  • Prior consultancy experience coupled with experience in Wealth Management essential
  • Extensive knowledge of Project Management execution and governance with PM Planning Tools.
  • Experience in leading key strategic programs and ability to drive change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide variety of people across functions / seniority
  • Demonstrated ability to digest and understand implications of complex regulations on business models
  • Able to operate at the appropriate level, understanding the detailed concepts while also understanding the "big picture"
  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge of Private Bank
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business units / functions to deliver results
  • High energy, diplomatic, self-starter with a flexible and pragmatic attitude and desire to show continued progress
  • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design
  • Willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
  • Demonstrable expertise in building and leveraging relationships.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present the articulate key points to senior management
