Brand Governance Manager (6 mth FTC)
Sitting within the Brand & Social Media team within Brand & Marketing, this FTC role reports to the Senior Brand Governance Manager and is responsible for delivering Brand Governance projects that support the embedding and ongoing governance of the M&G plc brand portfolio and the primary market brands within it including M&G Investments, M&G Wealth and Pru. A key part of the role will be to drive employee awareness and understanding of the importance of effective brand governance within the organisation. The role holder will help to create and deliver comms and training materials, as part of an organisation-wide programme of training, to ensure employees understand the key requirements under the Brand Policy and tools and support available within the Brand Governance Framework. A core requirement of the role will be to ensure the effective governance and reporting of the Brand Policy as well as gathering evidence to show compliance with the Policy across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • A significant part of this role will involve supporting and managing key end to end workstreams to create and deliver colleague comms and brand training related to the new Global Brand, Trademark and Domain Policy and Brand Governance Framework within M&G plc
  • Working with stakeholders across the wider business, including Corporate Affairs, HR, Learning and Risk, to shape, develop and deliver training materials and employee communications that drive awareness and knowledge of the M&G family of brands and how we govern use of our brands
  • Providing practical support to business areas to help them put appropriate arrangements in place to enable them to implement and adhere to the Policy on an ongoing basis
  • Ensuring that appropriate communication and support channels are in place to enable the M&G plc business areas to understand their Policy accountabilities and raise any brand queries as needed
  • Developing reporting related to the governance of the Policy, including evidence gathering as part of the annual Policy attestation
  • Supporting wider brand governance processes, for example management of the M&G plc trademarks, and the Trademark team mailbox

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in a Brand Management or Brand Governance role in a significant sized corporate environment, ideally with a multi-brand portfolio, in a regulated industry
  • A strong and persuasive communicator who would be comfortable presenting and delivering brand training to groups of people at all levels of the organisation
  • A proven track record of building successful and influential relationships with key stakeholders
  • An ability to identify creative solutions to deliver effective brand training and communications to employees and agencies across the organisation
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle several projects and tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Diligent in completing work to a high standard and level of accuracy, with personal drive to work as part of team, helping to drive change and champion brand within the organisation
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and responsive to change
