The Role: Marketing Development Analyst

The Marketing Development Analyst works in the Marketing Development team which is part of the Global Marketing function. Global Marketing Operations supports our global marketing community in several areas of marketing operations including marketing resource management workflow tools, digital asset management, MI reporting, process improvement, internal communications, change management and planning.

The Marketing Development team owns and configures third party digital asset management and work management software on behalf of M&G plc. The team works to optimise communications content creation and approval workflows. By ensuring our marketing workflows are slick, monitored and maintained we help manage marketing content centrally, consistently and in a controlled manner. We also help to maximise the findability and usage of marketing content, adoption of feature enhancements and user experience.

Marketing Development Analyst contribution to the above includes the following responsibilities;
  • Day-to-day engagement and troubleshooting with Aprimo users and participation in support user calls and other activities to help our user base drive more consistent use of the system.
  • Extracting and analysing data into Excel and Powerbi, providing meaningful written and verbal commentary and recommendations to report customers
  • Taking responsibility for small issues, change requests, testing and helping to maintain system configuration by supporting the Marketing Systems Manager is also part of the role.
  • Full training is provided. Supporting with wider marketing operations work - examples include coordination, project support, dept intranet, process improvements.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Analytical and reporting skills and experience using Excel and Powerbi or equivalent systems
  • Experience designing and improving MI reports and dashboards and providing meaningful, actionable commentary within deadlines
  • Experience of writing clear, grammatically correct emails, presentations, problem statements and reports
  • Experience of using online workflow, content management systems, online publishing and print processes
  • Use of Office 365 or equivalent - specific reference to Teams and SharePoint
  • Knowledge and experience: owning and improving core processes, applications, websites or intranets
  • Experience in supporting others with tech support and adoption
  • Proactive internal customer service and responsiveness and time management skills
  • Working as a subject matter expert on change projects
  • Ability to troubleshoot and proactively suggest solutions and improvements
