One of the largest investment businesses is seeking a Fund Controller to oversee all commercial and reporting tasks carried out by their team. The team will be responsible for the servicing and management of billions-worth of Property funds, including reporting, budgeting and forecasting, investor reporting and compliance responsibilities among others.

This is an ideal role for a qualified accountant with strong Property accounting experience, either from practice or from the investment industry.

Responsibilities
  • Oversight of monthly and quarterly NAVs, distribution calculations and other financial information from service providers, produced by the Fund Finance Team
  • Reviewing the complex transactions for the Property fund's reporting
  • Ensuring the relationship between the Team and service providers is maintained, including replying to queries, overseeing outputs from the team and ensuring the fund is properly serviced
  • Preparing the weekly cashflow forecasts, consolidation of budgets and coordination of the service providers, and preparing variance analysis of the fund's results to budget
  • Participation in board meetings, presenting data for the fund and answering questions to senior stakeholders
  • Aiding their team in the onboarding process of new acquisitions
  • Reviewing financial due diligence produced by the team, related to asset acquisitions and disposals
  • Ensuring their team's performance is kept to a high standard

Key Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
  • Real Estate funds experience is essential, and exposure to European assets would be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of IFRS standards, and experience reporting and producing financial statements and accounts
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Challenging financial data outputs to effectively communicate with all teams/parties in the business
