- Active member of the Business Development team, focused on growing AUM through inorganic growth (e.g., strategic M&A of other asset managers or other real estate oriented service companies) or organic growth (e.g. setting up of new JV's with real estate developers and investors)
- Monitoring market trends, carrying out of market research in the real estate investment management landscape
- Initial screening of new BD opportunities
- Developing investment papers for senior management
- Financial modelling work related to valuation, business plan and other ad hoc corporate M&A and/or ad hoc real estate investment decisions
- Support and carry out of due diligence (DD) with a particular focus on financial and commercial DD and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders
- Support with all aspects of the internal investment execution and approval process
- Ad hoc support to fund management team with analytical / modelling work and adhoc fund projects in case of periods of lower business in BD team and peaks in fund team
Skills Required:
- 2-4 years working experience in a big 4, real estate investment fund/private equity or M&A/corporate finance advisory role
- Background in real estate is considered a pro but not required. Affinity with / interest in real estate investment industry crucial
- Excellent financial modelling skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong academic qualifications will be an advantage (e.g., economics, finance, real estate, RICS, CFA etc.).
- Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Strong quantitative, analytical and presentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a small team environment
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong English verbal/written language skills.
