In this role you will be responsible for:
• Producing reports for the Group Management Committee and plc Board including forward budgeting, forecasting and strategic analysis.
• Reviewing both financial and non-financial information in order to provide commentary and analysis for inclusion within the monthly management accounts
• Assisting with investment performance, project cost and headcount reporting
• Preparing and updating the group forecast model for different scenarios in order to provide monthly reports and to feed into the group strategy process
• Supporting the capital adequacy stress testing and ICARA with balance sheet forecasting
• Liaising with reporting entities to deal with any issues arising from their submissions
• Preparing quarterly cash-flow forecasts for a number of regulated entities
• Maintaining an appropriate control framework around the forecast process
• Ad hoc analysis of business areas to support demands when required
As such, the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• Qualified Accountant with balance sheet and cash flow forecasting experience ideally in a FS environment (preferably Asset Management)
• Strong IT skills and an experienced user of Excel to an advanced stage and preferably HFM
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of awareness of the commercial implications of trends within the financial data and of business drivers
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and controls together with first class communication skills
• Be able to work under own initiative, to tight deadlines and be proactive in their approach
