Description
Basel/Capital Process Business Analyst responsibilities
- Managing initiatives to define, agree and articular the future state process across various work-streams
- Facilitating workshops to elicit process requirements, and co-creating the future state with key SMEs
- Pro-actively identifying opportunities for improvement, developing the conversation and challenging the status quo
- Presenting to and influencing key stakeholders at a range of governance forums
- Driving the optimisation of finance processes, as well as business outcomes for the Regulatory reporting and Risk Reporting functions, through strategic lens
- Managing conversations and interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract all required process information
- Defining the framework and governance for the capture and design of Basel IV processes, ensuring the adherence to organisational process standards and any regulatory requirements
- Applying a continuous improvement mind-set to all team activities, by identifying waste and rework and corresponding solutions
Profile
Basel/Capital Process Business Analyst experience and qualifications
- Degree education in a Financial discipline, or equivalent professional qualifications
- Experience in leading initiatives and projects, being able to provide support and guidance to junior team members
- Financial services background, within retail and/or investment banking, proving a good knowledge of Finance and Risk process, systems and technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders, as well as to produce best in class presentations by using MS PowerPoint
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience with finance transformation, Regulatory change and Large data programs would be ideal but not essential
- Experience with Regulatory reporting requirements under Basel 3 and CRR2, with a knowledge of regulatory returns would be preferred
- Excellent data manipulation skills being able to use tools such as MS Excel, Qlikview, Lumira, SmartView, SQL, SAS
- Process modelling and Blueworks experience would be advantageous
- Strong experience with end to end business analysis including documenting business requirements, functional specs, process mapping, "as is", "to be", UAT and implementation support.
