The successful candidate will be professionally minded, ideally with experience in the financial services sector. The Event Manager will work in collaboration with the EMEA Events team, Marketing Channel Managers, Account Managers, Portfolio Managers and internal stakeholders to drive creativity, innovation and the overall EMEA event strategy

Position Requirements
  • Work as part of the EMEA Events Team to develop and implement our strategic events program that is rooted in my client's global vision and aligned with regional business objectives
  • Efficiently manage the full range of events: virtual events, lunches, in-person and hybrid events including but not limited to: small round-tables, large format events, educational forums, conference sponsorships, large format conferences and client hospitality
  • Manage all aspects of the event operation from initial briefing to reconciliation including but not limited to budget management, site selection, hotel/venue management, registration management, transportation, food & beverage, speaker management, décor, and staffing
  • Own the project management contributing to the delivering of innovative events with data-informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an effective and smooth delivery of the projects. Create and closely monitor value adds at every opportunity, and look to find innovative ways to deliver content and enhance each event
  • Share knowledge of best practices regarding new suppliers, services, and venues
  • Ability to think strategically, execute quality output under tight deadlines and work extra hours as needed
  • Collaborate with compliance to ensure all events are fully compliant with regional regulations.
  • Identify key themes and trends in the industry to create compelling agendas that connect to target audiences and align to business priorities
  • Measure, optimize and report the performance (ROI) of all events to enhance client value and drive growth reviewing attendance and engagement metrics

Position Requirements

Required experience:
  • Approx. 3 years plus of experience in events management, planning and executing events across traditional in-person formats and through enhanced virtual platforms
  • Track record of working under tight deadlines delivering high quality results
  • Shown success working in a fast-paced environment and within a complex organisation
  • Familiar with events systems (Cvent) and budget management
  • Ability to analyse data, communicating actionable insights and future opportunities
  • Proven ability to deliver events with commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Creative vision and ability to effectively brief and work with design resources (external and internal)
  • Willingness to travel across EMEA for events
  • Experience with virtual conference and webinar tools
