About the Role

The Global Strategic Relationship Group (GSRG) is committed to collaborating with clients and prospects around the world to develop broader and deeper relationships with Wellington Management. Through partnering closely with Client Group and firm resources, GSRG is responsible for creating, managing, and enhancing key experiences to reflect the existing and prospective relationship that these organizations have with the firm. Specifically, the team focuses on strategic engagement, knowledge sharing, and commercial alignment on key growth priorities. GSRG strives to be a proactive, flexible, and forward-looking commercial partner to the business and to our clients to ensure that we deliver on our value proposition of bringing "the whole firm" to bear on behalf of strategic relationships globally. The team has members based in Boston, London, and Hong Kong.

The Position and Expectations
The Global Strategic Relationship Group has an opening for a Specialist hire, this position can be located in either London or Boston. The Specialist will work closely with senior leadership, specifically the Office of the CEO and Managing Partners, Vice Chairs, and Heads of Office to support the firm's strategic commercial growth priorities and engagement efforts with key relationships globally. This role will also collaborate closely with the Client Group Leadership Team and the Director of the Global Strategic Relationship Group to strengthen and expand global strategic client coordination and support.

A successful Specialist will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Professional and personal maturity is necessary, as is the ability to work across geographies and teams, given the position will have frequent interaction with senior management. Strong project management skills are required, as the Specialist will play a leadership role in developing the necessary infrastructure and oversight to enhance our senior leader engagement efforts.

While the Specialist will have interaction with key clients and prospects, they are likely to see their responsibilities focus primarily internally, coordinating and facilitating Key Account Reviews, developing global and regional engagement strategy, preparing detailed briefing materials for external engagement opportunities, organizing and executing strategic client and industry events, and utilizing platforms and tools (e.g. Salesforce, Tableau, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to enhance oversight and accountability of our senior leader engagement efforts.

Responsibilities
The Specialist will work closely with the Office of the CEO and Managing Partners, Vice Chairs, Heads of Office, and Client Group leadership along with other functional areas across the firm to:
  • Support strategic business planning and execution of firm priorities, including managing key projects and programs to support senior leader engagement efforts (e.g., Key Account Review)
  • Develop the necessary infrastructure and reporting to support successful outcomes, including developing talking points and targeted content along with utilizing various tools and industry platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to create detailed briefing materials for senior leader engagement
  • Partner with the Office of the CEO and Managing Partners, Vice Chairs, and Heads of Office to coordinate, and execute a senior leader coverage and engagement strategy
  • Develop and execute strategic client event strategy in partnership with the Corporate Communications and Global Marketing teams to strengthen commercial and broader engagement efforts
  • Support global and regional priorities, including escalating time-sensitive matters and communicating trends and themes to senior leaders
  • Maintain regular dialogue with GSRG counterparts in Boston and Hong Kong, including providing back-up coverage where and when appropriate
This role provides an exciting opportunity to be a part of a global team focused on one the firm's strategic initiatives. This position may offer occasional opportunities to travel. Due to the international focus of the position, some flexibility with respect to working hours will be required.

Qualifications
The GSRG Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment supporting senior management requiring focus, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills to ensure efficient and coordinated execution across time zones, a global mindset, and the ability to learn quickly and manage simultaneous projects. The job entails extensive written and analytical work, thus proficiency using both Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required (experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus). A sizable portion of the work is self-directed and requires an individual who can work independently under tight time constraints and evolving priorities. Professional and personal maturity is a must given the position will have frequent interaction with senior leadership (internally and externally). A positive attitude, terrific work ethic, and strong attention to detail is required.

The successful candidate is likely to have:
  • Strong academic credentials, coupled with progress towards (or willingness to pursue) a relevant professional qualification, e.g., CFA or MBA
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven project management skills, organizational skills, and ability to manage simultaneous projects across geographies and teams
  • Global, commercial, and creative entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal, networking, and collaboration skills with a laser-focus on details and execution
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as management across groups to strengthen senior engagement innovation and credibility
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of capital markets and/or investment products
