Who we are looking for:
The Project manager will provide project management expertise to support the implementation of a new banking and payments infrastructure.

Why this role is important to us:
The Global Banking Modernization (GBM) team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Process Delivery (GTCB). GBM is a multi-year global program the will provide best in class banking and payments functionality for State Street. The new functionality touches almost every business area within the organization including, Global Process Delivery, Global Markets, Custody, Global Treasury, Global Credit Finance, Finance, AML and Credit Risk.

What you will be responsible for:
As Project Manager, AVP you will:
  • Independently manage program workstream(s) and deliverables
  • Interact with a large global program team
  • Create & execute project plans, revise as appropriate to meet changing needs & requirements
  • Manage project financials, risks and issues
  • Create and manage project documentation and checklists
  • Resolve and escalate project and operational issues in a timely fashion
  • Effectively communicate progress and escalations
  • Interpret project needs and work to meet those needs, offer assistance and advice on standard practical issues
  • Identify, develop and deploy process improvements leading to service level improvements and/or unit cost & operational risk reduction.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures, as well as provide input to further development of best practices.
  • Conduct Post Implementation Review as needed
  • Ad-hoc problem resolving
  • Other priorities per management requirement, e.g. team development and governance

  • Education & Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business or Finance
  • 5-7+ years of relevant industry experience - financial services with banking and/or payments experience preferred
  • Project management experience in large complex projects
  • Initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Sense of urgency when performing tasks and projects; ability to respond to shifting priorities
  • PC Skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project, Flowcharting, Visio
  • PMP Certification - Preferred, but not required
