We are seeking a senior technologist with strong distributed ledger/Cryptocurrency/Digital Assets experience to implement our next generation Custody technology.
This is a delivery-focused role, and includes elements of design, engineering, implementation and quality.

  • Lead the implementation of changes to the existing global custody systems
  • Analyse, understand and communicate the impact of integration with Digital Assets systems on existing technology stack
  • Technical analysis of functional requirements
  • Work closely with wider stakeholders (Citi's Innovation Lab, as well as Custody Product / Technology / Operations teams) to define and deliver a target architecture and operating model
  • Provide technical and Digital Assets expertise to the team
  • Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
  • Contribute to design and system architectures.
  • Strong technical skills [experience as a developer / architect]
  • Knowledge of Digital Assets and blockchain technologies
  • Experience with modern pub/sub / microservice based architectures
  • Experience with resilient enterprise systems
  • Understanding and passion for clean code and well-engineered solutions
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working in mixed/virtual/diverse environments (small co-located team with a larger team in another location)
  • Financial services experience, especially settlements and clearing
  • Knowledge of global Digital Assets / blockchain-related regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of mainframe development technologies (e.g. COBOL, CICS, VSAM)
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in a technology discipline or related field of study or relevant experience operating in a similar role
