The Role:

This role is primarily responsible for managing the review, approval and assurance of the promotional communications for the range of funds created and managed across the Asset Management business. Partnering with key stakeholders within Asset Management as well as across Brand & Marketing and 2nd line Compliance, you will manage implementation of controls in line with the 'Global Communications Controls Framework' to meet the control requirements stipulated by the UK and global regulators. This role will report to the Global Controls Manager for Asset Management Communications and will be a key part of the team operating robust controls for communications management.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Manage reviews and approvals of financial promotions for Asset Management to ensure delivery of consistent and appropriate communications to customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality assurance of the communications approved by Asset Management staff on a delegated basis ('Business Approvals') to ensure adherence to the 'Global Communications Controls Framework'.
  • Provide product technical support on questions arising from other teams and approval of product technical elements of marketing communications by liaising with Asset Management SMEs as necessary.
  • Work in collaboration with Marketing Compliance Team within Brand & Marketing to deliver marketing related trainings, tools and guidance to Asset Management Teams.
  • Perform targeted monitoring activities of Asset Management communications, such as performing 'Rolling Consistency Reviews' to drive continuous improvements to the customer experience.
  • Actively contribute to the 'Marketing Communications Compliance Community of Practice' within M&G plc to share best practices and know-how on all aspects of marketing compliance to keep up-to-date on the latest developments.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience of reviewing and approving financial promotions for regulatory compliance within financial services, preferably asset management.
  • Must be investment literate with technical understanding of investment content.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organisation skills.
  • Basic understanding of key compliance and legislative requirements around financial promotion, data, social media, privacy, security and communication standards.
  • Excellent verbal, written and influencing skills - in person and remotely.
  • Relevant industry qualification in a related compliance or legal discipline.
  • University degree (or equivalent)
