The Role:

A new requirement has arisen for a role to support Controls & Assurance and the Product Teams during product design and delivery. This role will enable earlier identification of risks and ensure key Controls & Assurance contacts are appropriately engaged to provide ongoing BAU support.

  • As the business has evolved so have the obligations of the mandates and portfolios.
  • The complexity of ESG requirements, larger institutional requirements, new distribution markets and changing regulatory environments expose us to new areas of risk. This is resulting in more teams being impacted by change and more resource being required to onboard new mandates and implement changes.
  • Shorter timeframes for launches also means that there is less time for the Controls & Assurance team to provide challenge and engage fully with stakeholders on risks to be considered so early engagement on complex launches is critical.
  • Controls & Assurance are in need of technical expertise and capacity to build a better relationship and support model during initial discovery and investigation stages.
  • This role will co-ordinate technical requirements across Controls & Assurance and support in defining risk assessments for go / no go decisions.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Central point of contact / point person for Controls & Assurance and face off to Product Delivery squads.
  • Partner with the product and business teams and support technical capability discussions across key areas such as Controls Monitoring and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Co-ordinate technical requirements across Controls & Assurance and support in defining risk assessments for go / no go decisions.
  • Develop risk and control framework for new products / changes to existing products to streamline review and provide a risk proportionate lens to new product launches.
