THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners has partnered exclusively with a growing Real Estate Investment Manager (4Bn AUM) that is going through an exponential growth phase and is looking to bring on a Director to have oversight of the Investment Operations and Portfolio Management function based in London. The Director will be the main point of contact for all portfolio management responsibilities, including portfolio reporting, performance, monitoring, structuring, valuations, and transactions support across Europe. The role will manage and be the main point of contact for the team across Europe. The role will work with senior management and Partners to ensure the smooth running and development of the portfolio management function.

THE ROLE:

The role will work with the deals and execution team in deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, finance administration of the investment holding companies, review of and valuation and financial reporting for the Assets across Europe.
  • Oversight of all fund finance and accounting responsibilities for Real Estate
  • Oversight of all valuations and investor reporting for the European Assets
  • Provide financial and operational support on all Real Assets transactions
  • Continuous portfolio management and monitoring of the current portfolio
  • Main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders providing regularly updated information on transaction requirements, including holding structures, funding mechanics, and valuations
  • Assist the investment team through the investment and divestment process
  • Prepare and review market valuation for private investments in line with group valuation policy
  • Review accounting and management reports for investment assets across Europe.
  • Provide oversight on the organizing and maintenance of external teams across Europe
  • Oversee transaction accounts, cash management and liaising with banks on funding requirements across different countries.
  • Support information needs of management and working on system projects periodically to meet new accounting and business requirements.
  • Work closely with regional offices to design and implement various finance improvement initiatives and analytics as part of a investment operations finance transformations


THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Accountancy.
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA (Or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of Real Estate Fund structures and Transactions
  • 10 years of relevant working experience with a background in audit or valuations
  • Experience in Pan-European Investment Manager is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, who is keen to learn and pick up new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, including ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
