Our client, Deutsche Bank, is a global banking business with strong roots in Germany and operations in over 70 countries. Deutsche Bank offer their clients commercial and investment banking, retail banking and transaction banking as well as ground-breaking asset and wealth management products and services.

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS are now looking for a Product Controller (Possibly a PnL or Market risk background could also suit this role) to work in their Treasury Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team based in London on a PAYE basis.

Overview:

You will be support both front office and treasury finance to commercially steer the firm's financial resources in all environments following a risk-based approach. The role calculates Monthly profit N Loss (PnL) across a product group- and ensures that all documentation is up to date to support auditing. The role is one which will offer the right candidate the opportunity to train and develop their skill set, and someone coming from either a product control, PnL and market risk combined background may fit this role well however there is the opportunity to be trained within role.

Key responsibilities:
  • Monthly calculation of PnL-actuals and forecast to Lead calls with business to discuss and explain PnL
  • Support Strategic Planning of collateral FTP
  • Support external disclosures and Q&A on TLTRO
  • Covered Bonds FTP- Tracking of residual if any
  • Governance-Support engagement with CRO Tsy (2LOD), Auditors, ILAAP submissions, implementation governance and controls
  • Business engagement- Represent FTP team at Corporate Bank monthly Liquidity Modelling Call
  • Attend / take minutes of bi-weekly Corporate Bank engagement call
  • Presentation for monthly Corporate Bank / Tsy Senior Management meeting

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong treasury product knowledge is desirable
  • PnL calculation experience from within another Investment Bank
  • Experience from either a Market risk background or strong understanding of the risk surrounding a similar PnL role.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • The willingness to learn and develop within role
