Join us as a Strategic Finance Adviser supporting the Wealth Businesses achieve their cost targets

  • We'll look to you to provide commercial and financial insights and analysis to help influence key business decisions across Wealth
  • You'll be reviewing and providing input for plans, forecasts and stress scenarios and providing Wealth Exco, the Wealth Cost Board, P&T and Group Finance with performance updates and recommendations for management action
  • Gain valuable exposure and hone your expertise as you advance your Wealth partnering career in this analytical role


What you'll do

As a Strategic Finance Adviser, you'll be providing business insights and market knowledge to assist the leadership team to make key cost and investments specific decisions in conjunction with the franchise.

You'll also be:

  • Analysing financial regulatory change impact on products and services
  • Providing investment tracking and forecasting reviews
  • Using the data and analytics thinking required to solve strategic problems using the latest tools and techniques
  • Collaborating with our Finance centre of excellence to provide specific financial plans, forecasts, stress testing and customer, market or segment analysis on costs
  • Reviewing and challenging the use of resources presented in investment decisions and business cases


The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict. Along with planning and organisation capabilities, you'll need the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment. You'll be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills
  • The ability to communicate complex financial and non-financial information in a concise and non-technical manner to senior and executive stakeholders
  • The ability to create and review plans, forecasts, models and stress scenarios and to propose subsequent actions senior stakeholders
  • Strategic awareness and the ability to apply business knowledge, expertise and challenge to partner the business
  • Good finance functional knowledge, accounting knowledge and product area and market segment knowledge
