We are currently recruiting for a Client Money and Asset Administrator to join our Onboarding and Servicing Team within our Corporate and Client Accounting department.

The client accounting area is responsible for ensuring all client money and assets held by Transact for clients are recorded accurately. We must be able, at any time, to distinguish client money and assets held for one client from client money and assets held for any other client. The various roles within client accounting all facilitate this.

About Us

Transact is the leading independent investment wrap platform in the UK. Established in 2000, we have over £53.5 billion of funds under direction (as at March 2022) on behalf of over 6,600 advisers and 218,000 investor clients. Our service includes an online platform, owned and built by us, and dedicated regional adviser support to help bring clients' assets and investments together in a smarter, more tax efficient way. We offer access to a wide range of tax wrappers (including ISAs, pensions and life insurance investment bonds) and funds which advisers use to build client investment portfolios. Portfolio valuations, purchases and sales are all supported via Transact Online which is available 24/7. Transact's parent company, IntegraFin Holdings plc, is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index.

The Role

As a Client Money and Asset Administrator on the Asset Onboarding and Servicing team you would be responsible for assessing and making new assets available on the Transact platform. As well as ongoing reviews of asset information such that it remains accurate, complete and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for the interpretation, logging and subsequent monitoring of all corporate action events and ensuring all assets on the Transact platform are correctly valued.

Responsibilities include:
  • Analysis and interpretation of the terms and characteristics of corporate actions, leading to an accurate written summary which can be passed to another team within the business for independent review and consideration;
  • Ensuring all automated and manual asset price feeds, both daily and to other frequencies, are accurate and complete and that any anomalies are investigated and resolved expediently;
  • A good understanding of regulations such as MiFID II and PRIIPS, how they impact our business and responsibility for ensuring that associated asset data stored is accurate and up to date;
  • Adherence to the prescribed on boarding process for adding new assets to the Transact platform;
  • Continuously ensure all assets are suitable for distribution to our client database in line with regulatory and business requirements;
  • Ongoing asset review to ensure continued wrapper compliance;
  • Maintenance of applicable static asset data in order to ensure ongoing accuracy.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who has between 2 and 5 years relevant experience, dealing with corporate actions and/or asset servicing. Strong knowledge of the CASS rules is crucial as well as experience of liaising with clients, fund managers or platforms. The role requires you to analyse and interpret information so that correct action can be taken, therefore the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems and have a keen attention to detail. Good communication skills are essential.

We are keen to encourage continued learning and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake financial services qualifications. Candidates who are already in possession of relevant qualifications would be advantageous but must have a minimum of "C" grade in GCSE Mathematics and English.

We are looking for a candidate to already have intermediate MS Excel skills with experience using Excel in a work place environment. Previous experience using CREST and Bloomberg would also be advantageous.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including company discretionary bonus, excellent pension contributions, an attractive staff share scheme, BUPA health insurance, season ticket loan, buying and selling of annual leave and sponsorship of relevant professional qualifications.

Equal Opportunities

We provide a diverse and inclusive workplace and ensure that all of our staff respect and understand individual differences. We are an equal opportunities employer and positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
