Principle Responsibilities
Qualifications, skills, and experience required.
- Work closely with the Deal Team on Investment Memorandums for new clients and providing credit and structuring guidance on deals
- Responsible for ensuring Annual Reviews and Interim Reviews are completed for existing clients, in line with internal reporting guidelines
- Provide recommendations to the Investment Committee ("IC") for new and existing clients and attend the weekly IC Meeting
- Monitor covenant compliance for clients and ensure financial reporting is received in line with agreed terms
- Prepare monthly Expected Credit Loss calculations on the various programmes and provide insight into how the portfolios are evolving on a month-to-month basis (including any material changes in credit risk)
- Actively monitor late paying loans (if any) and escalate to senior management where necessary.
- In line with the Investment policy, the Credit Analyst is to act as a first line of defence in the business.
- Resolve queries received from both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner, escalating where appropriate.
- Work closely with colleagues across all other functions to maintain a cohesive team ethos and ensure team pull in same direction.
- Prepared and able to support new projects and initiatives that have Credit related aspects.
Qualifications, skills, and experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, or related subject
- Minimum 3 experience as a Credit Analyst in a Bank, Investment Fund, or Nonbank Lender
- A strong understanding of company financial statements and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency with Excel and financial modelling/ratios
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present well-structured credit papers to the Investment Committee.
- A good understanding of the geographical markets in which the Company operate - which currently includes the UK & Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The Company are also looking to build their client base in the Americas, hence a knowledge of this market would also be beneficial.
- A strong appreciation of risk management and the ability to suggest risk mitigants where required
- Ambition and keenness to be part of a young organisation with aspirations to become a major player in the non-bank lending space
- An ability to articulate clearly and concisely when communicating to colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
- The ability to be a self-starter and take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Commodities in general.
- Previous experience in Receivables Finance is highly desirable
