We have a great opportunity for a well established client based in London who are looking for a strong and capable Business Analyst.
Principal Functions:
To ensure that key project requirements are documented, prioritised and understood by stakeholders, and then to liaise with technical teams in order to ensure that the business requirements are understood, built and tested appropriately. Working within a professional service firm on topics such as regulation, tax, accounting, advisory, audit. A background in accounting is not required.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Business Analyst (London):
• Document workflows and the results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from users on the specifications.
• Analyse and document business processes.
• Collect, understand, and transmit the business requirements for functional areas of the business, and translating these into specifications and detailed test plans.
• Support the project manager to manage external supplier selection and evaluation processes.
• Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts and support the business in conducting adequate regression and user acceptance testing.
• Negotiate to achieve agreed courses of action with stakeholders.
• Support business users to follow good governance practice such as regular review of issues, risks and dependencies.
• Gather data to enable understanding of business processes, related barriers, risks and client needs.
• Champion Change governance procedures and controls around the firm

Qualifications & Experience of the Business Analyst (London):
• Educated to degree, or equivalent level (2:1 or above).
• Project qualifications desirable - preferably across Prince2 and Agile.
• Experience delivering training sessions to users.
• Ability to work in a complex operating environment where systems documentation is often not available.
• Candidates must have excellent people skills and high levels of resilience in order to gather requirements from the relevant SMEs.

Knowledge & Skills the Business Analyst (London):
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills:
• Ability to undertake analysis from a user-centric viewpoint, utilising user journeys, user personas and data to build requirements.
• Ability to convert user outcomes and requirements into a set of business and development user stories while ensuring traceability is clear.
• Knowledge of the full SDLC
• Strong writing skills and thus the ability to produce high-quality documents.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to apply a variety of techniques to model and document business processes and functionality.
• Flexible, self-motivated and proactive with an enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people at all levels.
• Quick learner with the ability to multi-task.
