About Akari:
- We're an independent proprietary trading firm based in London. We launched in 2022 and are owned and controlled by our founding partners.
- Our ambition is to become the leading trading firm in London as measured by: (i) the outlier returns we generate, (ii) the quality of the people in our team, and (iii) the high standards and principles by which we operate.
- Our founding partners have a proven track record, second to none, in establishing world-class trading firms. Our objective is to identify smart, ambitious, hardworking individuals who have a sincere passion for their primary role and a synergistic impact on the team's performance.
The successful candidate will:
- Be helping build something great from the ground up, rather than having to navigate the bureaucracy and politics of being an employee at a larger, established organisation.
- Be continually challenged and pushed outside their comfort zone, including intensive feedback designed to maximise their personal and professional development rate.
- Operate with significant autonomy, in line with our trusting, dynamic and entrepreneurial culture.
- Be part of a meritocratic, hard-working organisation that believes in delivering to the highest of standards and continually improving all aspects of the business and team.
You will:
- Have a strong quantitative background and an ability to problem solve, including understanding and building upon our existing operational and risk systems
- Be an assertive, clear communicator who can manage interactions with our all external counterparties, a Finance team and investment partners in a thorough, prompt and organised fashion
- Have humility as you will be required to work on tasks ranging from invoicing to leading technological change at the organisation
- Be a generalist who can confidently problem-solve with external stakeholders across HR, Technology, Finance, etc and wear multiple hats.
- Be a driven, organised, competitive individual who takes pride in excellence individually and as a team.
Skillset:
- Advanced university degree preferred
- Strong preference for 1-3 years of professional experience
- Fluent with Microsoft Excel
- Incredible organisation skills and attention to detail
